Nosres is looking for a highly motivated and energetic UI/UX Design Intern who wants to think creatively and differently. The Nosres UI/UX Design Internship will allow you to apply knowledge gained from your Art, Design, Computer Science, and Human-Computer Interaction courses to solve real-world problems and collaborate on several small projects. It will also enable you to gain exposure to leaders and connect with other interns. As a result, you will be able to sharpen your skills and acquire valuable hands-on experience in your degree.

As a UI/UX Design Intern, you will create intuitive user interfaces and experiences for our websites, apps, or other interactive media. As part of the design team, you will collaborate with others, including Product Managers and Front-End Engineers. Therefore, to be successful in this position, you should have experience with design software and wireframe tools. On top of that, you should be able to create eye-catching and impactful designs and develop esthetically pleasing branding strategies to help us grow our customer base.

UI/UX Design Intern Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge acquired from Art, Design, Computer Science, and Human-Computer Interaction courses and experience to solve real-world problems.
• Identify user experience problems and present solutions using striking strategies.
• Illustrate the user interface and experience at different stages of the design process using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps.
• Design new experiences or layouts for websites, apps, and other interactive interfaces.
• Build UI prototypes that elucidate how the websites look.
• Create eye-catching and impactful graphic designs, including icons, images, etc.
• Cohere with style standards on fonts, colors, and images.
• Extend existing brand or interactivity guidelines and assist in the design of new visual and interactive materials.

Education and Experience

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Art, Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or other related fields. 
• A degree in UX/UI Design or Human-Computer Interaction or Certification is a plus. 

Key Requirements and Skills

• Currently attending a degree program and expect to graduate by December 2023.
• Experience with Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign).
• Creative, analytical, and critical thinking to find solutions to complex problems. 
• Intuitive capability to understand users and develop solutions that solve their problems.
• Ability to design intuitive software experiences.
• Experience with creating style guides and branding.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Empathy, initiative, and ability to work independently and with a team.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
• Capability to manage time, meet deadlines, and work on several projects simultaneously with minimal direction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Requirements

An outstanding portfolio showing your recent design work samples from discovery, design, and development stages is a plus.
