Nosres is looking for a capable DevOps Engineering Intern who enjoys working on challenging technical issues and uses creative techniques to automate solutions. The Nosres DevOps Engineering Internship will allow you to apply knowledge gained from your Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Electrical Engineering courses to solve real-world problems. It will also enable you to gain exposure to leaders and connect with other interns. As a result, you will be able to sharpen your skills and acquire valuable hands-on experience in your degree.

As a DevOps Engineering Intern, you will contribute to creating systems software and analyzing data to improve existing systems. You will also implement complex software in conformity with project requirements and Nosres’s commitment to privacy and security. Therefore, you will work in concert with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, QA, Front-End, and Back-End Software Engineers in a fast-paced startup environment with minimal documentation. To be successful in this role, you must understand the tools used for coding and be able to process multiple programming languages, including PHP and Ruby.

Design and quality play a pivotal role at Nosres. The Engineering and Technology Team designs and develops websites and platforms. They also strive to secure all forms of electronic data. In addition, they ensure that all of our web applications are intuitive and bug free. They are passionate about solving complex technology problems. Ultimately, they work in collaboration with the Design Team to make sure that user interactions on web pages are intuitive and engaging.

DevOps Engineering Intern Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge acquired from Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Electrical Engineering courses and experience to solve real-world problems.
• Identify the business problems, and build the tooling and infrastructure to overcome them.
• Deploy product updates and implement integrations that meet customer needs.
• Work in concert with Project Managers and other software engineers to apply backend-end solutions to web development issues.
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.

Education and Experience

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related technical fields.
• Experience with multiple programming languages (PHP, Ruby, etc.).

Key Requirements and Skills

• Currently attending a degree program and anticipate graduation by December 2023.
• Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and automation tools.
• Experience with multiple programming languages (PHP, Ruby, etc.).
• Knowledge of modern server-side web application frameworks (Symfony, Ruby on Rails).
• Knowledge of code versioning tools (Git, SVN).
• Creative, analytical, and critical thinking to find solutions to complex problems. 
• Ability to design intuitive software experiences.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Empathy, initiative, and ability to work independently and with a team.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
• Capability to manage time, meet deadlines, and work on several projects simultaneously with minimal direction.

Additional Requirements

DevOps Software engineering experience from previous school projects.
